Iran is increasingly focusing on solar power and other renewable energies as well as on cooperation with European companies. Special economic zones offer additional investment incentives.
Iran offers promising business opportunities for European solar companies. KPV Solar, Fronius and Kioto Solar opened a new 1.2 MW PV park in the Special Economic Zone of Rafsanjan in south-eastern Iran.
In a ceremony attended by the governor of Rafsanjan, Kerman Governor office and executives from the KPV company of Austria, a 1.2 megawatt solar power plant started operation in this city of 150 thousand population.
